What is CBD?
CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It affects the endocannabinoid system, which is made up of receptors that work within the central nervous system.
CBD is non-intoxicating and does not affect the body or mind in the same way marijuana would. It doesn’t cause the “high” associated with marijuana and does not cause any psychotropic effects.
CBD affects everyone differently. Some people experience relaxation, some people claim it helps them sleep better, while others take it to address inflammation, ease pain after exercise or for joint aches. If people have concerns about possible effects of CBD, they should consult a doctor before use.
Cannabis containing less than 0.3% of THC is considered legal to have and sell in most U.S. states. Tips and Tricks
Customizing Your Cookie:
The best part of a C.B. Dough cookie is that you can customize to fit your favorite cookie. If you love a crunchy cookie, bake them 12-14 minutes. For a softer cookie, bake for 8-11 minutes. Chewy cookies can be achieved by baking 8-11 minutes and allowing them to cool in an
an airtight container overnight. Have a different way you prepare your cookies that you'd like to share? Let us know!
Freezing and Storage:
Want to keep your cookies for longer? You can freeze C.B. Dough cookies right in the jar! They also bake great straight from the freezer. Follow the same instructions, but add 1-2 minutes onto the bake time. Frozen cookies can keep for up to 3 months.
We've had customers tell us they bake their cookies for the week on Monday and enjoy one each night. In the C.B. Dough test kitchen, we concluded we liked the cookies best when the cookies were eaten within in 3 days, but if you wish to keep your cookies for longer they will still be delicious!
If you like a chewy cookie and would like to keep them up to 7 days, we suggest under-baking slightly. For example, a cookie baked 8 minutes will still taste moist and chewy after 7 days compared to a cookie baked for 11 minutes.
High Altitude Design:
Our cookie directions were designed in the mile high city for baking at high altitude. Higher altitudes can affect the chemical reaction that happens when you bake in the oven. To create that perfect cookie shape, our directions are very particular. If you are ordering our cookies to a location that is closer to sea-level, consider altering the bake time of your cookies or the temperature of your oven slightly. For most US states, a 350° F oven will bake the cookie perfectly and very similarly to cookies baked here in Colorado.
